Singing Classes in Melbourne

How we work with you?

Assessing your level with our singing teachers

First, we assess your current level of vocal ability and create a tailored program designed to teach you at the right pace, with the right objectives in mind.

Developing your skills with expert vocal training

With our help, you’ll be able to understand the physiology of your voice and the breathing anatomy that’s used for singing. You’ll increase your vocal range, strength and tone, and will learn the benefits of proper breathing, resonance and posture. You’ll also learn to listen to and analyse singers’ styles and methods and learn from different music.

Applying your skills

To stand out from the crowd, you also need to create your own style so that you’re easily recognisable. We can help you identify a style that’s most suitable for you and develop it in a way that makes it your own. With our vocal lessons, you can apply healthy vocal technique and vocal coaching to your artist development. Our vocal coaches will give you the confidence to pursue live performance, musical theatre, or songwriting in the music industry if that’s your passion!

Singing Lessons FAQs

What do you do in a singing lesson?

+

Singing lessons are fun and rewarding experiences. Every student is encouraged to explore their vocal range, develop an understanding of music theory, and cultivate a healthy vocal technique in a professional and supportive environment. A well-structured singing lesson will typically involve warm-up exercises to help build strength and trust in the voice, pitch ear training activities to aid in hitting specific notes, breathing techniques that enhance posture while performing, advice on how to improve song interpretation and performance skills, plus tips on how to arrange harmonies or experiment with different genres. With dedication and commitment, a student can learn to sing and make great strides in their vocal development in a relatively short period of time!

Do vocal lessons help?

+

Singing lessons are incredibly beneficial for those who are interested in honing their singing skills. Not only can singing classes teach basics like proper breathing and vocal technique, but they can also help aspiring singers build their confidence, and music theory comprehension, and expand their musical knowledge. Many experienced instructors will use a range of teaching methods to ensure that students are learning the skills they need to sing with power and finesse. To maximise the benefits of vocal lessons, it is important to practise regularly between sessions so that new techniques can become thoroughly engrained in your memory to improve your singing voice. With regular practice, time, dedication, and a voice coach, taking vocal lessons can be an extremely rewarding experience that helps to unlock hidden musical potential.
